I was bored one day so I decided to write a story. This is only one tiny part of it so I know I need to add more detail and change it into paragraphs. Please don't be rude because I'm only 12 but answer honestly.
“Cassie!”my mother yelled. “Cassie wake up!” I pretended not to hear her and tried to go back to sleep. I was having a wonderful dream that was back in Chicago with all my friends and I wanted to get back to it. But I was unsuccessful. My mom charged into my room and turned on the light. “Cassie you better wake up this instant or you’ll be late for school, “she threatened. I groaned and practically fell out of bed. I was swamped. I had stayed up all night worrying about my first day of 7th grade and being in a new school. My parents had divorced when I was 3 and Mom and I have spent most of my life moving around. Dad wasn’t around much. He lived in Virginia with his new wicked wife, Diane, so it was just me and Mom. Our newest home was in Miami, Florida. I really kind of liked it here. There was sun, surf, and lived right by the beach. Plus there were a lot of hot guys roaming around. But it still wasn’t home. I looked over at the clock and realized what time it was. My mom was right. I was going to be late. I quickly threw on the outfit I had planned to wear the night before (a t-shirt that say Abercrombie and Fitch on it and a pair of jean shorts). I put on my blue converses and headed toward the bathroom. I yanked a brush through thick ,tangled ,brown hair my hair until it was smooth and hastily brushed my teeth. I quickly washed my face and put on my lucky bracelet. By the look of the mirror, I was presentable. Grabbing my book-bag, I walked into the kitchen where my mom was waiting for me. “You need to eat something,” Mom said. “There’s no time. I’m already late.”I replied. “Well at least eat this,” she said handing me a piece of toast. I accepted and nibbled on it before throwing it away. Mom looked at me, but let it go. She grabbed her keys and I followed her outside. We got into her Sedan and started to back out of the driveway. Oh God, I thought. What will it be like? Will I fit in? What if I embarrass myself in front of everyone. I tried to push these thoughts out of my head as we headed toward the school. I had a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach something bad was going to happen. I didn’t know until later that day how right I was. By the, I know it doesn't explain much in the first part but the story is supposed to be a girl who discovers she a faerie and has powers. She is one of the last of her kind and must save herself from the evil that is trying to kill her
I still can't find a decent Wrangler to buy. I'm looking for a '98 -'00 with low miles. Six cylinder is a must. I surf fish and don't want to put my new truck on the beach. I have been looking on e-bay, autotrader and craigs list in Hampton Roads Virginia since I live in Chesapeake, Virginia. If anyone has or knows of a good wrangler for sale, please let me know................................ HELP
As the first leg of my Round the World trip after graduating in July, I plan to spend 5 weeks in the States. I'm starting in Boston as I have a few friends up there and am planning on getting a 30 day National Amtrak pass, so I can make it around and finally to LA where I fly out. I've made a provisory schedule of where I could go by checking out possible train times but I'm not sure how long to spend in each place. I'm going on my own and am mainly looking for sights and nightlife. Can anyone recommend which cities I should visit in that kind of time? I think places like Miami I may leave for another holiday as it's so far out. So far the plan is: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Virginia Beach, Charlotte, Atlanta, Birmingham, New Orleans, Memphis, Chicago, Kansas City, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Palm Springs, LA, Las Vegas, LA. Thanks Dave

My husband and I live in Virginia Beach, and are slightly open to consider moving to Richmond, however doing a real estate search is difficult when I don't know what areas to look for or avoid. Here, I can enter the good high schools and get a list of homes, but I don't know the good areas of Richmond. Any specifics on this? Also, we are 30yo professionals who like a mix of suburbia and city. For anyone who has lived in both areas (Va Beach & Richmond) or knows them well, what are your thoughts when comparing the two on nightlife..(.dance clubs, restaurants etc.) and sense of friendliness or communinty? Thanks!
Besides VA Beach... or Northern NC
We are planning on saving money and driving for vacation down south in mid-April (we live in Virginia). Which of these cities would be better for a 5 - 6 day vacation? We are NOT looking for good clubs or nightlife. We also are trying to avoid the Easter vacation crowds - I figured either of these cities would be better than the beach.
Ok, i know its really stupid of me to write a book set in Virginia, but i read a article in a magazine about it and i new it was the perfect place... well... I sorta changed it... but anyways, these are my questions to the Virginia peeps: 1. in September, does it rain, snow, or just regular sunny...? 2. do people surf at the beaches? 3. are there mansions and like rich communities? 4. were there private schools, if so were there snobs there like any other private school? 5. any other helpful stuff about Virginia would be MUCH appreciated! Especially if there is like prostitution behind closed doors and stuff... juicy truth is what i like in my stories. Something i never go back on, Use the truth when your somewhere you've never been! =] thanks for the help!
I'd love to hear from anybody who is younger and fresh out of college who headed to the Washington D.C. area. (I'm 23) I'm moving from Madison, Wisconsin. Do you enjoy the area? I've heard people in the area are 'generally unfriendly' is there truth to this? As long as I don't mind being holed up in a small studio apartment... is the cost of living doable on a 50k salary? How is the nightlife/singles scene? Is it easy and/or cheap to travel to NY or Virginia beach by rail? How is the metro system? I'll be taking it to Alexandria for work unless prefer biking? How is biking in the area? Sigh, if I can get any information from any of these it'd be very helpful... I'm moving in about 2 weeks. Thank you very much.
